Soccer Odds at VIPSports
Although in the United States no one could care less about soccer, apparently outside of America this sport is immensely popular. Why did it never catch on in the States? Well, we do have the NBA, the NFL and sometimes the NHL, too. There are just more options. Perhaps if they increased the excitement by adding bear traps and jungle cats that pop out of the ground. And Beckham drives past the defender, heading toward the goal for the win and...oh my God! He's just been eaten by a bengal tiger! Now that would be a thrilling finish. Imagine the prop possibilities. Will Freddy Adu score a goal tonight or get eaten alive! Tonight at seven! Of course, the soccer purists would be in an uproar. Regardless, the sportsbooks would continue to bring the odds, tigers or not.
VIPSports: Reading Soccer Odds
Oh, the crazy Europeans and their metric system, degrees Celsius and kilograms. In addition, they also have different ways of reading the odds. For example, if a team has a line set at 1.6, then that means a wager on them will net $60 for every $100 wagered. Since games can result in a tie, there are three wager lines with every game. There are no total lines, however, because no one knows if anyone will score in soccer.
VIPSports: Bad Betting Links
The Euro 2004 championship links are completely defunct. Clicking on Group A sends you to odds for the NBA's Atlantic Division. The link for Group B sends you to a prop for most college football points on Saturday. Group C sends you to the odds for Wimbledon. Group D's link sends you nowhere at all.
VIPSports: Betting on All Major Soccer Leagues
International League Matches and UEFA Champions League lines are available. I hope that means something to you, because it means everything to me. My life is now complete.
VIPSports: European and Middle Eastern Odds
Austria, England, France, Holland, Belgium, Denmark, Israel, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Scotland, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Switzerland and Turkey leagues are all available. Good grief there are a lot of soccer leagues in Europe. I wonder if the odds are skewed for games played in Amsterdam the same way they are for college football games in Hawaii. After all, it's Amsterdam we're talking about here. You can't expect players not to take in the local culture, can you?
VIPSports Central and South American Odds
Leagues include Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Paraguay, Uruguay and my favorite, Colombia. Not for the soccer, for Juan Valdez and his rich Colombian coffee. And Shakira. Now that is something I can get into.
